Some love stories are written in the stars — ours was lovingly orchestrated by God, with a little help from family, friends, and faith.

It all began when Emmanuel was introduced to a new church family by his friend Henry. In that same church, a mutual friend of Henry and Emmanuel — Abigail — introduced him to someone truly special: Esther.

We started talking casually, sharing conversations that gradually became the highlight of our days. What Emmanuel didn’t realize at first was that Esther was the pastor’s daughter. But once he found out, instead of backing away, he took a respectful and sincere step — he spoke directly with her father. Pastor’s response was full of grace: he encouraged Emmanuel to take his time, reminding him that love must come freely, not out of obligation, even with his daughter. That moment set the tone for a relationship built on honesty, mutual respect, and God’s guidance.

What began as a sweet connection soon turned into a deeply rooted love — even across continents. With Esther in Ghana and Emmanuel in the U.S., our relationship was strengthened through countless late-night conversations, shared prayers, and unwavering faith. Emmanuel’s parents came to know Esther through calls and messages and instantly embraced her as their own. They built a bond with her that was beautiful to witness, even from afar.

In 2023, after two years of long-distance love, Emmanuel and his family traveled to Ghana to meet Esther in person. That long-anticipated first meeting on May 12th was full of joy, nerves, and a love that had been waiting to leap from screens to real life. But Esther had no idea an even bigger moment was coming.

On May 20th, surrounded by loved ones, Emmanuel surprised her with a heartfelt proposal. It was one of the happiest moments of our lives. Not long after, Emmanuel and his family hosted a traditional “knocking” ceremony here in the U.S., where they officially asked for Esther’s hand in marriage a beautiful blend of cultures, faith, and commitment.

Throughout our journey, God has been our anchor. We’ve built our relationship on prayer, worship, patience, and trust. Now that Esther has joined Emmanuel in the U.S., we’re ready to begin our forever — side by side.

We love cooking together, reading and reflecting, dancing with joy, working out at the gym, and pouring into the things that feed our spirits. We’ve grown together, and we’ll keep growing — in faith, in love, and in purpose.

And one sweet detail? We’re both Monday-born. Just another subtle sign that this love was meant to be.

Our story is a testimony of grace, timing, and the kind of love that only God can script. And this… is only the beginning.
